New Age Guru Deepak Chopra Signs Multi-project Podcast Deal With Audible

Alternative medicine advocate Deepak Chopra has signed a multi-project podcast development deal with Audible. The first series in the collaboration is Deepak Chopra’s “Mind Body Zone: Living Outside the Box,” scheduled for a Sept. 16 release. The 12-episode podcast features Chopra in conversation with several influential leaders in the wellness space. “Each 30-minute episode of ‘Mind Body Zone’ features accompanying guided meditations and is tied to a specific theme, including embracing the unknown, self-acceptance, white privilege, and overcoming trauma and addiction,” as per a report in Variety.

“I believe that there is immense power behind the spoken word,” Chopra said in a statement, as reported by Variety. “Emotions are tethered to the human voice. This is why I chose to share my insights and experiences through the audio medium, and develop passion projects with Audible.”

Audible’s deal with Chopra “represents a major investment in the expansion of its original wellness content, rolling out this September,” Variety reported.

He is the founder of the Chopra Foundation, a non-profit organization for research on well-being and humanitarianism, and Chopra Global described as “a health company at the intersection of science and spirituality.”
