Tulsi Gabbard Accused Dr. Anthony Fauci of Endangering Americans Through His Deceit. Do You Agree?

  • In this new series that seeks to survey Indian and South Asian American perspectives on issues related to their American life, we welcome comments from our readers.

On Fox News network last week, the former Hindu American Congresswoman and the new Fox News contributor Tulsi Gabbard assailed Dr. Anthony Fauci, who is set to retire next month after more than 50 years in public service, for endangering Americans through “his deceit during the pandemic.” Commenting on his last press briefing at the White House as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and the Chief Medical Advisor to the President, Gabbard said, “We can’t deny the danger that he has created for the American people, not only with regard to his refusal to answer questions about the origins of COVID and gain of function research, and how it is very likely continuing on that we are paying for, but also the other big lies that he’s continued to propagate, even in his press conference today about masks.”

Do you agree with Gabbard’s assessment and what do you think of Dr. Fauci’s role in dealing with the pandemic? Please let us know. Thanks.

  • The threats and criticism Dr Fauci receives for offering advice based on his medical expertise, when the whole World is uncertain about the virus is mindboggling to me. Once again I am utterly disappointed with the political situation in this country. What is even more disappointing is knowing that there is a possibility of Trump getting reelected.. after his comments about injecting disinfectants as a cure for COVID.
