Drunken Indian American Man Kills Two Teens in Vehicular Homicide on Long Island: Police

- Two teenage boys, both 14, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Nassau County Police said 34-year-old Amandeep Singh was driving his 2019 Dodge Ram south in the northbound lanes on North Broadway in Jericho around 10:30 p.m. when he smashed into a 2019 Alfa Romeo four-door sedan with four male teens inside.
The drunk pick-up truck driver slammed into the boys’ car and left the scene.
Two teenage boys, both 14, were pronounced dead at the scene, while two other teen boys,16 and 17, who were also inside the sedan, were admitted to a local hospital for internal injuries. They were listed in stable condition, police said.
Singh, who was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, first-degree vehicular manslaughter, second-degree manslaughter, leaving the scene of an auto accident with a fatality, driving while intoxicated and two counts of second-degree assault, police said.
Following the collision, the teens’ car went on to hit a 2023 Volvo, with a 49-year-old woman and 16-year-old boy inside, police said. They were reportedly treated on the scene for minor injuries.
