The episode featured contestants Yogesh Raut, Roger Craig, and Isaac Hirsch competing under host Ken Jennings, who revealed that scores would carry forward to subsequent rounds—a format change that contestants reportedly weren’t informed of in advance.
Commanding Lead from the Start
In the Jeopardy! Round, Raut established an early advantage by correctly answering 15 clues and securing a Daily Double. Categories included “The Life & Times of Napoleon III,” “Law, Legality & Court Stuff,” and “Presenting Myth Greece,” among others. By the end of the first round, Raut had amassed $14,900, while Isaac Hirsch stood at $0 and Roger Craig at -$3,600.
Double Jeopardy Solidifies Position
During Double Jeopardy, Craig found both Daily Doubles but only answered one correctly. Raut continued his strong performance with 11 additional correct responses. The scoreboard at the conclusion of Double Jeopardy showed Raut with $25,700, Hirsch with $4,400, and Craig with $2,800.
Final Jeopardy Results
The Final Jeopardy category required contestants to identify Berthe Morisot. Craig was the only contestant to provide the correct response, while both Raut and Hirsch answered “Who is Cassatt?” Despite his incorrect answer, Raut’s substantial lead allowed him to maintain first place with $15,700 after his $10,000 wager was deducted.
Craig’s correct response brought his final total to $5,599, placing him second, while Hirsch finished third with $3,199.
Tournament Standings
Following Episode 2, the tournament standings now show Raut in first place with six points, followed by Craig with four points and Hirsch with three. Victoria Groce, Matt Amodio, and Adriana Ciccone each have one point, while Neilesh Patel, Juveria Zaheer, and Brad Rutter remain at zero.
