Priyanka Chopra Jonas Shares Daughter Malti Marie’s Picture on First Mother’s Day
- The first time parents welcomed their baby back home after she spent over three months in the newborn intensive care unit.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas’ daughter Malti Marie is back home with her parents after spending over 100 days in the newborn intensive care unit (NICU). The first time mother revealed the information in a social media post on Mother’s Day, where the couple shared the first photograph of their baby girl.
This January, the couple took to their respective social media handles to announce the news on Jan. 21, of the birth of their daughter via surrogate, three years after their marriage. The baby was born prematurely on Jan. 15 in a Southern California hospital.
In a social media post, Chopra Jonas reflected “on these last few months and the rollercoaster” the couple has been on. “After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home,” read her post. “Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is.” Noting that they “are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home,” she thanked “every Doctor, nurse and specialist at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who were there selflessly every step of the way. Our next chapter begins now, and our baby is truly a badass. Let’s get it MM! Mommy and Daddy love you.”
On Facebook, Chopra Jonas wished her mom, her mom-i-law and other women in her life on the occasion of Mother’s Day, and shared a few old photos.
Jonas took to social media as well to write about their daughter’s arrival and wish his wife on her first Mothers’ Day. “Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mothers and caretakers out there, but I want to take a minute to say a special Mother’s Day wish to my incredible wife @priyankachopra on her first Mother’s Day,” he wrote. His follow-up post read: “Babe, you inspire me in every way, and you are taking to this new role with such ease and steadiness. I am so grateful to be on this journey with you,” Jonas continued. “You are already an incredible mother. Happy Mother’s Day. I love you.”
Chopra commented “love you” on his post, adding: “There is no one I’d rather do this with than you. Thank you for making me a mama @nickjonas I love you.”
