Bollywood’s very own glam girl and Hollywood transplant Priyanka Chopra Jonas celebrated Diwali with traditional rituals at home, along with her husband, Nick Jonas, and later partied with other desi ‘badass boss ladies.”
In a series of photos shared on her social media handles, Chopra Jonas shared pictures from her Diwali celebration hosted by Mindy Kaling. The guest list for the high-profile event included Lilly Singh, Phenomenal founder Meena Harris, Live Tinted founder Deepica Mutyala, ClassPass founder Payal Kadakia, Richa Moorjani, Anjula Acharia and Poorna Jagannathan among others.
“Love, laughter and a room full of badass desi boss ladies,” Chopra Jonas wrote in a caption. “Thank you @mindykaling, @deepica + @meena for a lovely pre-Diwali celebration.
Chopra Jonas was seen wearing an Arpita Mehta sand floral tiered print skirt and floral mirror blouse set, while Kaling donned a blue lehenga by Indian designers Falguni and Shane Peacock. Deepica Mutyala chose a gorgeous dress from Live The Collective and Jagannathan went with an Anita Dongre creation.
Harris also took to Twitter to share some photos from Kaling’s Diwali party. “I feel lucky to consider these extraordinary women my friends and inspiration — thank you for bringing so much love, light, and brilliance to our community,” she tweeted.
For Diwali this year, Harris collaborated with Mutyala to create a special gift set. The set, which was available till Nov. 4, included three Live Tinted Huesticks, in the shades Legacy, Origin, and Change; Live Tinted RAYS Copper Eye Masks; a Phenomenal bright orange hoodie that says “phenomenally brown”; and a handcrafted Diya oil lamp, according to Teen Vogue.
Singh shared a video of her and Chopra Jonas commenting that they look like sisters.
Earlier, Chopra Jonas shared photos of the Diwali Lakshmi pooja she performed at her Los Angeles home with her husband, Nick Jonas. “With the blessings of Goddess Mahalakshmi, we invite Her grace and abundance into our home,” she wrote.
