Police Issue Alert for California Teen Atharva Chinchwadkar Missing From Fremont Home

- The 19-year-old UCSC student was last seen by his parents on Feb. 21 evening.

The Fremont Police Department has issued an ‘at-risk missing person’ alert for 19-year-old Atharva Chinchwadkar. The alert describes him as a “South Asian male, 6’0’’ 150 lbs, black hair brown eyes,” who was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt, cream jacket, gray track pants.
Police say Chinchwadkar was last seen driving a dark grey 2010 Toyota Camry 4 door sedan, plate #6JVD754.
The teen was last seen by his parents on Feb. 21, at approximately 6:00 p.m., “when he left his residence to get dog food and didn’t return,” the art says. Police say Chinchwadkar “may head towards Santa Cruz where he is a student at UCSC but does not have a residence there.”
The alerts were issued on the police department’s social media handles.
