Indian American Doctor Faces Sexual Battery Charges Allegedly for Inappropriately Touching Female Employee

- Dr. Rachandeep Singh, who was arrested at the San Francisco International Airport, is scheduled to appear in court next month.

An Indian American doctor from California was arrested last week on sexual battery charges, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office announced in a tweet.
Investigations on Dr. Rachandeep Singh began in April after the sheriffâs office received a call from an employee at the River Pointe Post-Acute Care Facility in Fair Oaks. She alleged that Singh, her boss and the facility’s medical director, touched her sexually against her will.
According to the tweet, Singh was removed from the facility by the administration. However, he also oversaw two other facilities in Stockton and San Joaquin County. Detectives say they are still looking for any other possible alleged victims of his.
Singh, who was arrested on June 17 at the San Francisco International Airport, was booked into custody at the San Mateo County Jai. He was released on bail the same day. The next court date is scheduled for Aug. 17.
