Looking for ways to educate young children about Diwali while engaging them in various cultural activities? Kulture Khazana has the perfect solution. The online South Asian-inspired cultural toy company is bringing the festival of lights, into classrooms with a kit for educators and parents.

Designed for ages 3 and up, the company describes the kit as “the perfect addition to classrooms or gatherings, fostering a sense of togetherness and cultural appreciation.” It is tailored for classrooms of up to 12 participants, and “encourages collaboration and creativity that goes beyond the ordinary and engages students in a meaningful, culturally inspired way,” the company said. Activities include Rangoli art, craft your own garlands, and a large Rangoli puzzle, encouraging the spirit of Diwali and togetherness.

The kit is the brainchild of Kulture Khazana founder Akruti Babaria, who established the company to share heritage in a way that was fun, authentic, accessible, and shareable. According to her, the kit aspires to spread the stories and traditions of Diwali by bridging the gap where authentic resources were once lacking.

“These toys, puzzles, and crafts are not exclusive to South Asians; they are for all inquisitive children and families who wish to enjoy and play,” she said. “Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the cultural significance and the stories that underlie the intricate designs.” The company has also created a Diwali Classroom Presentation to help parents and educators share the cultural aspect of the festival.
