Indian American Sudeep Reddy is Promoted as Senior Managing Director at Politico

Politico has promoted Sudeep Reddy as senior managing editor, overseeing policy coverage and E&E News. He was most recently the managing editor for policy and is a former Playbook editor. He also serves on the adjunct faculty at Georgetown University, where he teaches a course on the digital journalism landscape.
The Indian American joined Politico in 2017 after a decade in The Wall Street Journal’s Washington bureau, where he was an economics editor directing coverage of U.S. and international economic news, according to his LinkedIn profile. He joined the Journal in 2007 as a U.S. economics reporter covering the Federal Reserve and financial crisis and later served as the Journal’s international economics correspondent, covering developments across the global economy, White House, Treasury Department, International Monetary Fund, World Bank, G-7 and G-20.
The Texas native arrived in the capital as a Washington correspondent for The Dallas Morning News, covering a wide range of policy issues including energy, transportation, technology and immigration. He started his career in Texas as a reporter covering the energy industry and business issues before the Texas Legislature.
He has received numerous awards for his work in print and online and regularly appears on television and radio programs. Reddy graduated from Brown University with a degree in biomedical ethics and American history.
