Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Kal Penn Dance to Bollywood Numbers at Lilly Singh’s Diwali Party

Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Kal Penn were seen showing their dance moves at a Diwali bash hosted by Lilly Singh on Nov. 6. The fun-filled party by the YouTube sensation included a high-profile list of desi movers and shakers like Meena Harris, actress Poorna Jagannathan, and Ayurvedic virtuoso, dietitian, and mindful-living creator Radhi Devlukia-Shetty, among others. 

The room was decorated with traditional floral arrangements and videos posted on social media showed Indian sweets and live music. Guests were seen dancing to Punjabi and English songs and dhol beats.

Chopra Jonas sported a retro look in a Sabyasachi kurta and pants, paired with a dupatta. She topped it up with sunglasses and a green necklace. She posted several pictures and videos from the party on Instagram. “What makes Lilly SINGH the perfect host and dost,” she asked on Instagram. “She’s a fellow PUNJABI. What an epic end to this year’s Diwali celebrations! Thank you @lilly for such an amazing evening.”

Singh also shared some pictures of herself along with a note on her Instagram page. She was wearing a red lehenga with a brocade jacket. “Threw my first Diwali party last night called Love & Light and it was everything I’ve ever wanted,” she wrote. “What a lovely week. My heart is full. But not as full as your timeline is about to be.”

Penn, who was wearing a green kurta with a floral print, took to Instagram as well to share photos and some fun boomerang videos on his Instagram page. “One of my first Diwalis in LA, there were just a tiny handful of us,” he wrote. “This year, multiple celebrations with houses full of warm, talented people & good friends. Thank you @lilly for bringing peeps together last night. So much happiness. Love and light.”

On Nov. 4. Chopra was seen celebrating the festival of lights with the ‘badass boss ladies. Guests at the high-profile event hosted by Mindy Kaling included Singh, Meena Harris, Deepica Mutyala, Payal Kadakia, Richa Moorjani, Anjula Acharia, filmmaker and actress Sujata Day, and Poorna Jagannathan. “Love, laughter and a room full of badass desi boss ladies,” Chopra Jonas wrote in a caption. “Thank you @mindykaling, @deepica + @meena for a lovely pre-Diwali celebration.

Earlier, Chopra Jonas shared photos of the Diwali Lakshmi pooja she performed at her Los Angeles home with her husband, Nick Jonas. “With the blessings of Goddess Mahalakshmi, we invite Her grace and abundance into our home,” she wrote.
