Udayakumar Balathandayutham of New Jersey has been named the grand prize winner of Laxmi Brand’s nationwide “Grab More, Win More” Diwali giveaway, receiving a brand-new Lexus RX 350 at a ceremony held at Lexus of Bridgewater on Feb. 24, 2026.

Laxmi, the flagship brand of HOS Global Foods and the largest South Asian food importer and distributor in the United States, presented the keys to the Balathandayutham family in a celebratory event that highlighted the company’s commitment to honoring cultural traditions and rewarding consumer loyalty.

“This giveaway represents more than a prize; it reflects our commitment to bringing families together through the traditions and flavors that connect them to their roots,” said Neil Soni, CEO of HOS Global Foods. “It closely aligns with our vision of bringing culture alive through the celebration of authentic ethnic food, flavour, and family.”

Amrapali Soni, COO of HOS Global Foods, emphasized the company’s long-standing relationship with the South Asian diaspora. “For over 50 years, Laxmi Brand has played a meaningful role in uniting families with authentic products that deliver the comfort and familiarity of home, even when far from it,” she said. “This milestone underscores our continued dedication as a trusted community partner to the South Asian diaspora.”

The Winner’s Reaction

Balathandayutham was welcomed with cheers from members of the Laxmi brand team as he received the keys to his new vehicle.

“I still can’t believe we won,” Balathandayutham said. “The Laxmi brand has been a part of our home for years, especially during festivals, and so many of our family memories are tied to it.”

The Campaign Purpose

Sundeep Singh Lamba, Head of Sales and Marketing at HOS Global Foods, said the campaign was designed to demonstrate the company’s commitment to its customers.

“This Diwali campaign was about belief, trust, and action. At Laxmi, we don’t just make promises, we fulfil them,” Lamba said. “From the contest to the car, this was a celebration of credibility, community, and our commitment to always doing things the right way.”
