Sakina Jaffrey and Arjun Athalye are joining the recurring cast of the second season of the Disney+ series “Goosebumps.” The two Indian American actors are joined by Eloise Payet, Christopher Paul Richards, Kyra Tantao, and Stony Blyden. They will appear alongside previously announced cast members David Schwimmer, Ana Ortiz, Sam McCarthy, Jayden Bartels, Elijah Cooper, Galilea La Salvia, and Francesca Noel. Variety had previously reported that the series “would be going the anthology series route in Season 2, meaning it will feature an entirely new cast and storyline than the first season.”

Athalye will star as Sameer, described as one of the “four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in, becoming a central secret to the present-day characters,” according to Variety. Jaffrey will play Ramona, described only as “a mysterious woman,” the entertainment portal added.

According to the official description for Season 2, “the new story begins with Devin (McCarthy) and Cece (Bartels), fraternal twins adjusting to life with their recently divorced dad, Anthony (Schwimmer). When the duo discovers a threat stirring, they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Devin, Cece and their friends — Alex (Noel), CJ (Cooper) and Frankie (La Salvia) — find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.”

Jaffer joined the Showtime drama “Billions,” as a series regular for Season 6. The “House of Cards” played Daevisha “Dave” Mahar, “a dogged defense attorney at a white-shoe firm. She “goes up against New York Attorney General Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) on a case and sways him to draft her into his cause,” according to a Deadline report.
