Security solutions company Cobalt has named Sonali Shah, a longtime cybersecurity executive as its new chief executive officer. The Indian American joined Cobalt’s board in January and started as CEO on Aug. 28, replacing Chris Manton-Jones, who has held the position since April 2022.

Shah’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for Cobalt, the company said in a press release, noting that in the past year, it “successfully expanded its product suite to a full, comprehensive platform.”

Shah, a highly regarded strategic leader and product visionary with over 20 years of experience, is one of the very few female CEOs of a major cybersecurity vendor, according to BankInfoSecurity, a multi-media website published by Information Security Media Group, Corp.

In response to her appointment, Shah said she is “excited to work with the great team at Cobalt in this effort and usher in the next phase of the company’s growth – one that will be achieved with a relentless focus on providing maximum value to customers as their offensive security needs continue to evolve.”
